Formwork Z Bar (Tie bar)
Formwork Z Bar (Tie bar)
Formwork Z Bar (also known as tie bar) is a 16mm diameter high tensile steel bar used in a tie system to hold wall or column formwork together while concrete is being poured and is curing. It has a coarse thread for easy and very fast wind-on and wind-off, making set-up quick and reliable. It is normally used with tie bar wingnuts, washers, conduits and cones, as a complete formwork system.
Safari Group’s formwork tie-bar is a premium hot-rolled product most commonly supplied in 5.8m lengths, but shorter lengths can be supplied on request. Tie bar is normally used inside a conduit, allowing it to be slid out of the conduit after the pour and re-used.
High-tensile bar for high load tolerance
Designed with a 'high speed' thread for use in concrete formwork tie systems, such as in wall and column forms, to restrain shutters against concrete pouring pressures
