Top Deck Chairs are used in suspended concrete slab applications, to hold reinforcing bars or mesh at the correct height or cover specified by engineering drawings. They are also used in precast applications and thick concrete tilt-up panels or any application where tall spacers are required and stability is critical.

Plastic Top Deck Chairs are an ideal replacement to the traditional steel ‘spider’ chairs, as they will not rust or present any corrosion related problems associated with steel bar chairs in concrete.

Often referred to as TDK’s, Top Deck Spacers are a super strong and reliable bar chair, and are load tested to exceed 300kg weight capacity. Our plastic spacer chairs are designed for harsh Australian conditions and proven in even the highest summer temperatures.

The chairs have 4 pointed feet with negligible footprint and supplied in concrete grey colour meaning the feet wont be seen from below the suspended slab.

Range of sizes available from 65mm up to 200mm high. TDK’s are normally used in conjunction with Bottom Deck Spacers, which hold the bottom layer of reinforcing bar or mesh.
