In a monumental stride towards shaping Western Australia's energy landscape, the Kwinana Battery Stage 2 (KBESS2) project, led by Synergy, recently achieved a significant milestone. The successful installation of battery systems positions KBESS2 as the largest grid-connected battery energy storage system in the region.
With a capacity to deliver 200 megawatts of power and store 800 megawatt-hours of energy, KBESS2 has the capacity to sustain approximately 370,000 homes in WA for about four hours.
Safari Group was pleased to support the lead construction contractor with key items including:
- Grouts and Concrete Patching Compounds
- Reinforcing Steel
- Formply and Timbers
- Joint Sealants and Backer Rod
- Site Safety Products
- Tie Wire and Reinforcing Accessories
This comprehensive collaboration underscores Safari Group's commitment to advancing WA's energy transition and supporting local construction companies with rapid product supply. As KBESS2 advances, we remain dedicated to contributing to its success and playing a pivotal role in fostering sustainable energy practices in the region.
