Geraldton's recently completed Eastern Breakwater and Tourism Jetty project, led by Midwest Ports, saw Safari Group play a vital role as a key supplier of essential materials. The project aimed to revitalize the Eastern Breakwater, transforming it into a dynamic tourism hub.
The precast concrete plank and beam pile jetty is situated midway along the Geraldton Esplanade and has been designed to accommodate vessels greater than 25m in length.
Safari Group's items supplied to this project under tight timeframes and strict project deadlines included:
- Reinforcing steel for the full jetty structure – all hot dip galvanised to Aust Stds
- High tensile threaded Reid Bar, Couplers & associated fittings – all hot dip galvanised
- Reinforcing accessories incl concrete blocks, bar chairs, tie wire & dowels
- Formwork timbers and accessories
